I bought two of these a couple of weeks ago without even realizing that these were third-party controllers. They look enough like the official Nintendo ones, after all. When they arrived, I was at first very pleased with them, even after I realized that they weren’t manufactured by Nintendo. They felt cheaper, and the Z button could be very hard to compress, but otherwise they worked very well: for about 3 days.

On the third day, the joystick on each of the controllers decided that it didn’t like one of the four cardinal directions anymore, and wouldn’t register movement in that direction. Needless to say, this made gameplay nearly impossible. I suggest learning from my mistakes and avoiding these things like the plague.

a lesson I learned the hard way when I bought this controller. It’s much cheaper than the other options, but it also just plain doesn’t work. The joystick is floppy and unresponsive, and the left trigger doesn’t do anything at all.

Spend the extra 15 dollars and pick up a wavebird.

These are not official Gamecube controllers like they appear in the picture. They are also not black – they’re the purplish blue of the original Gamecube. They work, but they are the little bit off that can mess you up sometimes. Only good since they were 5 bucks.

    Needs to be tweaked
I have purchased 3 of these controllers in the past. I will agree with the other reviews of this product that they tend to work poorly.

    Kind of flimsy
    Pros: very cheap
    Cons: very short cord
Joystick wore out after a few weeks of heavy use
I’d recommend paying the extra few bucks for a name-brand…

    Great third Party Controller
We sell the same contollers in our store… and to be quite honest for the price and comparision on the returns, from the original to the third party were about the same…

    controller
I bought 2 of these and they work good. They are very sensitive though. You have to be very careful with the toggles.

    AX-GC controller
This controller wasn’t even the authentic product. I didn’t realize it until later when it broke after less than 5 days. The analog stick didn’t work anymore and is was useless.

    Works great
In the beginning, the control seemed to be a little off, but later it works perfectly.

    Sneaky, very sneaky…
A controller is a controller, right? Not. Usually knock-off brands are ok at the very least, but come on.

    Unsatisfied
I ordered eight Nintendo Gamecube (AX-GC Controller-Black (SIM), controllers, put four into use about two weeks ago, and already three of them are starting to malfunction.
